Our associates

The associates of JRC&A are the team which we assemble to tackle a specific client assignment.

Most of our associates are independent contractors whom we hire for the duration of an assignment. There are a few regulars such as, for New Product Development assignments, Phil, for the creative parts of NPD and the development of Brand Character Statements, Linnea and, for the theoretical, statistical and analytical part of Branding work, Peggy.

Depending on availability or geographic location, we may bring in other associates with a specific expertise.

Jacques is the lead consultant on every assignment.

Peggy
A.K.A. Margaret Primeau Ph.D.

Peggy is not a marketing person, but an academic and a Neuropsychologist. She teaches and manages a department in a large Chicago area teaching hospital..

Her open-mindedness, broad range of interests and encyclopedic knowledge of human sciences make her the most refreshing challenge we've ever had. Peggy's contribution to JRC&A is most visible in the Brand Character assessment process and in the HBCQ (Heptadimensional Brand Character Questionnaire.) Her excellent understanding of statistics has made a significant contribution to the article titled "The telecommuting innovation opportunity" which she co-authored with Jacques and which was published in August 1996 in the Journal of Consumer Marketing.

Linnea

Linnea and Jacques Chevron first worked together in 1976 on the introduction of a new product for the Kellogg Company (It was Mrs. Smith's Crêpes, a line of frozen crêpes which is no longer sold.) Both worked at the Leo Burnett Advertising Agency, Linnea in the Creative Department, Jacques in Account Service. Linnea and Jacques have worked together many times since on US and International New Product development and Branding Strategies for very large clients (like Grand Metropolitan) and smaller ones (like STHS.) She brings her writing talents, a wonderful understanding of strategy and a superior conceptual ability.

Linnea is as comfortable discussing Aristotle or Architecture (she was the editor of an architectural newsletter for many years) or Computers (she was a computer programmer for a software firm) as Zola. She lives in Chicago with her husband Richard.

Brought in on an as needed basis are Phil, Alexis, Peter and Peggy (the other Peggy.)
